CU Wizards
John Bohn giving a CU Wizards presentation

John Bohn explains the physics of ice skating.
Many professors at the JILA Center for AMO Physics present CU Wizards shows. These engaging and informative one hour presentations are designed for elementary and middle school students and their families. The Saturday morning shows are free and open to the public.
The Wonder of Science at Twenty-Ninth Street
The JILA Center for AMO Physics worked with a developer to design an interactive science kiosk and display in the new Twenty-Ninth Street shopping mall in Boulder. JILA's area includes an interactive light toy for imaging light from the sun. The kiosk describes JILA and its research, history, and people. The tower also contains a touch screen monitor to provide updates on current research. JILA participates in Science Saturday events at the mall where scientists and graduate students present fun and interesting demonstrations of JILA science.
National Conferences
The JILA Center for AMO Physics works cooperatively with other National Science Foundation Physics Frontiers Centers to present information via a traveling display booth at national science conferences. The booth has been set up at the meeting of the National Society of Black Physicists and the National Society of Hispanic Physicists. The AMO center has also provided full financial support and helped staff the booth at the annual meeting of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
